In todays tutorial I will be showing you how to fix your web cam on Facebook in Ubuntu 11.10. I think this is a common issue for people and I didn’t really find any good articles right away on this so I decided to write the solution down here for everyone.
If you do not have Adobe Flash Player installed you can install it by running the following command.
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree
To fix your flash setting and enable your webcam on Facebook you need to visit Flash Player Settings. This is where you can change all of your Flash Player settings however for this tutorial all you have to do is wait for the menu to load, scroll down to facebook and set to allow. After you are done with this you can close the settings page and take a photo on Facebook.
I hope this has helped you fix your flash settings for Facebook on Ubuntu, this should also work the same way for Linux Mint 12. More tutorials are coming soon so check back and don’t forget to bookmark or subscribe to my RSS!
